Do I need a PIN code to pay with my Edenred card?

You do not need a PIN code to make payments with your physical Edenred card.

The physical card works like a regular debit card with contactless payment without a PIN code. For purchases over 50 €, the card must be used in a chip reader.* Make sure you are using your Edenred card and not your personal bank card.

*excluding SOK payment terminals, that don't include chip readers, contactless payments also works with purchases over 50 €.

If you pay with your smart device using a virtual card with Apple or Google Pay, for security reasons facial recognition, fingerprint, or a self-set PIN code is required depending on the settings of your device.
