What do I do if the payment accidentally goes from the wrong side of the Edenred card?
If the payment is made from the wrong side of the Edenred card, i.e. from an incorrect employee benefit, do the following:
If the payment has been charged from the wrong benefit on the Edenred card:
A payment may be charged from the wrong benefit if the merchant has both Lounari and Virike agreements with us. Therefore, amounts of €14 and below will automatically be charged from the Lounari balance when paying with the Edenred card.
In this case, the payer should contact Edenred customer service. Contact information and current opening hours can be found here.
We will make balance corrections to the payer's card and also check the payment terminal data of the merchant.
If the payment has been made with the wrong benefit:
In this situation, the payer must first ask the merchant to refund the payment to the correct benefit card. After the refund, the payer will make the payment with the correct benefit card.
If the payment was made using Apple or Google Pay, the refund process is handled like a regular bank card. If the payment was made with Edenred Pay via the Edenred app, the merchant can cancel the payment in the Merchant portal within 24 hours of the transaction. If the Edenred Pay mobile payment needs to be canceled later, the merchant must contact our customer service.
