How long can an employee use their balances after their employment ends?

By default, employees can use their benefits for 30 days after the benefits have been terminated, but the employer can edit the default usage period in the Employees section settings and, if needed, also individually for each employee.

The employer can define the benefit usage period in the Employees section of the Employer portal. If necessary, the usage period can also be changed in an individual employee’s details.

How can the usage period be edited?

For all employees

  1. Go to Employees in the Employer portal.
  2. Open Settings.
  3. Define how many days employees can use their benefits after their employment ends.

For an individual employee

  1. Go to Employees.
  2. Select Edit Employee for the relevant employee.
  3. After setting the termination date of the employee benefits, you can also define the last day to use the benefits.

What should you keep in mind?

Benefits can be used only for as long as both the usage period and the balances remain valid. The balances are valid for 2 years from the loading date.

If the employee’s card expires during the usage period, it will be renewed automatically until the usage period ends. However, renewing the card does not extend the validity of the balances.

Summary

By default, the employee’s benefit usage period is 30 days after the end of employment, but the employer can edit this period in the Employer portal. Benefits can only be used within the validity period of the balances.
