How do I order a card for a new employee in the Employer portal?

Add the employee’s information in the Employees section of the Employer portal. A virtual card will be sent to the employee automatically by email on the benefit start date.

Cards are valid for 2 years from the date of order.

This is how you order

  1. Log in to the Employer portal.
  2. From the left-hand menu, select “Employees.”
  3. Add an employee: click “Create employee,” fill in the required details under “Personal Data,” then choose the applicable benefits under “Benefits.”

For larger numbers of employees, you can order cards from the “Import employees” section using an Excel file.

- If you import fewer than 50 employees: the virtual payment cards are created and sent to employees by email immediately after the data import.

- If you import more than 50 employees: the virtual payment cards are created and sent to employees by email no later than the following day. You will receive an email confirmation when the card order is complete.

4. Save and order: once all employee details are entered, click “Save.” The card will then be submitted for ordering.


Important notes:

– On the day an employee’s benefits begin, the system will automatically email them their virtual card’s activation serial number. (You set the benefit start date in the Employer portal under “Entitled to the benefits from” in the employee’s profile.)

– All cards are virtual by default. However, if you offer Lunch (Lounari) or Virike (sports & culture) benefits, your employee can request a free physical card in their Edenred app.

Ordering the physical card on the Edenred app is as follows: Choose Lounari/Virike on the app's front page -> Open 'Settings' -> Select 'Order physical card'.

Note! Ordering a physical card will block the current card and cause outage on the employee's benefits. While waiting for the card to arrive the employee can call our customer service the following business day after the order and request the card activation serial number. Please note that for security reasons, we cannot provide this information via email. This will allow the employee to their benefits in Edenred Pay mobile payments as well as Apple and Google Pay, and it also enables online orders with Wolt and Kotipizza.
